About Ham Benito

The Jamones Benito wineries have been creating these delicious Iberian pieces since 1956. When the brothers Anselmo and Jesús Benito founded the ham company in the town of Arahal, all in order to provide the best service to their customers. With the union of the best raw materials and the love of the profession of master ham maker of these two brothers, they managed to obtain superior hams such as Benito Hams. A quality that has lasted until today.

Currently, the company and the drying room are managed by the third generation, who work to achieve a product as spectacular as Benito acorn-fed hams. Hams aged slowly in the cellar until reaching their optimal flavor.

This spectacular flavor and quality of Benito Hams is obtained thanks to Iberian pigs raised in freedom, grazing in the pastures of Jabugo and in the Sierra Norte Natural Park of Seville. During the montanera season, which runs from October to March, these pigs are fed acorns and grasses. In this way, a diet rich in healthy fats is achieved, so beneficial for the quality of Benito hams.

The acorn-based diet is what makes these Benito Iberian Hams have that exceptional flavor and unmatched aromas. The particular climate of the area together with the fields and pastures make possible the production of these acorn-fed Iberian hams, from the provinces of Salamanca and Huelva. All these characteristics have given rise to a production system approved by the standards of the European Union.
